Why choose to rebuild
There’s clear evidence that tropical forests produce excellent climate benefits for the entire planet, yet deforestation continues to happen in many tropical regions due to poverty and commercial interests. Through land acquisitions and in partnership with local communities, we are rebuilding and restoring habitats and protecting threatened wildlife.
If tropical deforestation were a country, it would rank third in CO2e emissions.

Plant one time
Help rebuild vital tropical rain forest habitat that supports local communities, biodiversity and our planet’s future. Trees are selected for maximum benefit to biodiversity, and are maintained for five years to ensure optimal establishment and growth.
Trees are being planted at Mono Bay Reserve in southern Nicaragua- habitat to spider and howler monkeys, macaws, yellow-naped Amazon parrots, native stingless bees and much more. Receive an e-certificate to share online with friends and colleagues.

*Reforesting projects typically plant 455+ trees per acre, and in many cases use a mono–cropping approach for maximum tree cover. We prioritize biodiversity regeneration over tree density–so a max of 285 trees are planted per acre, and are closely monitored and maintained for at least 5 years to ensure a healthy foundation for future growth.
